What the Changes to the Endangered Species Act Really Mean—The John Batchelor Show

A podcast on the recent rule changes made to the Endangered Species Act.

PERC’s Executive Director, Brian Yablonski, sits down with John Batchelor of The John Batchelor Show to discuss the recent changes made to the Endangered Species Act. Though the ESA has done a good job of preventing endangered species from going extinct, it has done a poor job of actually recovering listed species. The recent changes reinstate the distinction between threatened and endangered species, incentivizing private landowners to help restore threatened populations before bearing the cost associated with an endangered listing.
