Introduction
In 2012 PERC continues its workshop series on “Property Rights, Markets and the Environment.” One of these workshops will focus on Financial Contracting, Transaction Costs, and Environmental Amenities to be held July 30–August 2, 2012, at the PERC office in Bozeman, Montana. During this workshop we intend to host seven presentations. Our objective is to propose and vet implementable market mechanisms that could reduce the cost of transacting over environmental goods and services. The potential for financial contracting strategies to serve in this role will receive particular attention.
