Christian Henry

Christian Henry comes to KCI after spending five years living on a remote island in The Bahamas co-founding a school and research institute.  He graduated from Swarthmore College in 1996 with a B.A. in Biology; since then, small start-up businesses have generally kept him up late at night.  His experiences as an educator— first at his alma mater, The Lawrenceville School in New Jersey, and then at The Island School—have created a habit of using education as a premise for addressing problems outside of classroom.  His mentors are an unusual mix of quirky thinkers who advise on national energy policy and grow bananas in the house while it’s minus 47 Fahrenheit outside (without a furnace), PhDs who teach high school students about free lunches (and how there are none), and ex-Navy Seals.
