Becca Madsen

Becca Madsen is an environmental analyst with a decade of experience in issues at the intersection of nature and economics. As Project Manager at the Electric Power Research Institute, Ms. Madsen provides research and analysis on sustainability, endangered species, and water quality trading as it relates to the electric power industry. Ms. Madsen started a consulting business (Madsen Environmental) and consulted start-up businesses (as a Peace Corps volunteer). She was selected as a Doris Duke Conservation Fellow, and a Presidential Management Fellow with the US Forest Service. Ms. Madsen has conducted analysis, written, and presented on subjects relating to sustainability, corporate ecosystem services, mitigation banking, biodiversity offsets, and other policies and business trends driving action on conservation. Ms. Madsen was PI for two global State of Biodiversity Markets reports summarizing the status and trends of payments for biodiversity services around the world.
