Paul Corens is a Senior Investment Portfolio Manager for the Arizona Public Safety Pension and is currently responsible for over $1.2 billion of physical assets around the world including timber, wetland, agriculture, infrastructure, oil & natural gas, power generation & transmission, minerals & mining, and real estate investments.  Paul is responsible for allocating investment capital to maximize risk-adjusted returns for the investment portfolio.

Since 2008, Corens has traveled extensively and conducted significant due diligence in international emerging markets, such as India, Brazil, China, and Africa. Investment due diligence includes macroeconomic, strategy, investment manager, and asset-level risk mitigation, in addition to underwriting proforma returns.  Paul has earned a Bachelor of Science in Construction Engineering and a Masters of Business Administration. He has also attended executive courses at Harvard, Stanford, M.I.T., and Oxford, and is LEED Green Associate certified by the U.S. Green Building Council. In 2012, he was named a Flinn-Brown Fellow and has become involved in policy and economic development issues related to Native American tribes and communities.  In 2013, Paul was named a Top 20 Engineer Under 40 by Engineering News Record and was subsequently named a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, a global real asset expert network. Paul hopes to wed his policy, project management, and investment experience with his desire to volunteer and consult on sustainable projects in tribal domestic emerging markets. When he is not working, Paul enjoys hiking, camping, hunting, and fishing with this wife and two children.
