Kirsa Shelkey

Kirsa Shelkey was an Impact Fellow in the summer of 2016. As an undergraduate at the University of Montana: Missoula, she travelled to Cameroon, Africa where she conducted her thesis on land use and management issues in the Congo Basin. Specifically, she interviewed indigenous peoples and forest communities to determine whether they had received any of the legal benefits they were entitled to from mining and forest enterprises. This experience drove Kirsa to law school, which she currently attends in Missoula, MT. There, her focus is in environmental and Indian law.
