Aaron Citron

Aaron Citron is a Policy Analyst for Environmental Defense Fund’s Colorado River Project based in Boulder, Colorado. His work is focused on agricultural water use, conservation and efficiency, and interstate water management. He is currently a member of the Bureau of Reclamation’s Colorado River Basin Study Agricultural Conservation & Transfers Work Group. He is primarily focused on building incentive programs for water conservation and temporary transfers with agricultural water users. Current projects include continuing development of a conceptual Upper Colorado River Basin Compact Water Bank and creation of new funding streams for agricultural irrigation infrastructure projects that benefit both productivity and streamflows. Aaron received his B.A. in history from Emory University and his J.D. from The University of Arizona James E. Rogers College of Law.
