Robert Kimball

Robert Kimball works on promoting collaboration towards sustainable water management between businesses, investors, and governments.  He is currently working on measuring and managing water related risks facing companies and investors with the World Resources Institute’s Aqueduct project. He works to maximize the visibility and impact of Aqueduct with audiences ranging from businesses and investors to governments and international NGOs. Rob also assists with the working groups charged with designing, testing, and applying Aqueduct’s database and mapping tools for a variety of audiences. Rob’s other work at WRI is focused on coordinating  efforts with relevance to the private sector throughout WRI’s programs. Rob’s previous work was in government relations, advocating for federal funding and implementation of environmentally sound water infrastructure solutions in communities across the United States. He has also done research and advocacy on wildlife conservation issues ranging from multinational species conservation finance to illegal online trafficking in endangered animal products. Rob holds a B.A. in political science from American University in Washington D.C. Rob is an avid backpacker and canoeist, and completed a thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail in 2007. His other passions include cycling and the Boston Red Sox.
