Leslie King

Leslie P. King, is a physician and public health practitioner interested in the impact of the environment on human health, specifically in framing climate change as a humanitarian issue. Her decision to attend the year long, mid-career Masters of Environmental Management program at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Sciences was to gain the applicable expertise and skills to communicate this concept and to learn how to fuse these interests into the management practices of her humanitarian nonprofit, Flying Physicians International. Prior to attending Yale, Leslie practiced emergency medicine in rural communities and Native American reservations throughout the western United States and Alaska for more than a decade.
