Applications for the 2008 Student Seminar are closed. The application for 2009 will be posted in early winter. Please check back.

How to Apply

Complete the on-line application, which will require the following:

  • One-page essay detailing:
    1. your reasons for wanting to attend this seminar;
    2. your career plans; and
    3. how participation in the seminar will advance your academic and career plans.
  • A copy of your college transcript.
  • Two letters of recommendation from two professors(can be submitted under separate cover).

Who should apply?

  • College students with junior or senior standing who are interested in learning how markets work to improve the environment.
  • A limited number of openings are available for law students and graduate students.
  • Participants will be chosen on the basis of demonstrated academic performance, essay responses, and letters of recommendation.

What's in it for you?

  • A chance to exchange other ideas with other college students who are passionate about the environment.
  • A full scholarship to cover seminar tuition, meals, lodging, and reading materials and a stipend of $500 for each student's travel expenses.
