  • How to apply?

Applications for the 2012 PERC Enviropreneur Institute are due March 5, 2012. Applications are on-line only, and must include the following:

    1. A resume

    2. A short business plan (500 words or less)

    3. A personal statement (500 words or less)

    4. Two letters of recommendation

    5. A photo of yourself

Your business plan (item 2) should describe a conservation-oriented project or business that you have already begun or will soon begin after PEI. This business plan can be at any stage of development, but it must address a conservation opportunity that you are passionate about pursuing. Selection of finalists is not based on how well developed the business plan is, but rather on its virtues.

Your personal statement (item 3) should focus on the specific attributes that you possess which make you an ideal candidate to participate in PEI. More specifically, we are interested in learning about what you will bring to the collection of other conservation leaders that will enrich the experience of everyone participating in PEI.

Your letter writers (item 4) should be individuals who are familiar with your talents and can attest to your passion for your business plan.

    "I have been charged with
    a very ambitious goal
to conserve 16 million hectares in the Patagonian steppe, a task that requires a complex set of skills. I am confident that after having attended the Enviropreneur Institute, I am going back to Argentina much more capable to move forward effectively and efficiently."
