PERC Creates Enviropreneur of the Year Award with $15,000 Cash Prize

March 12, 2015 – Bozeman, MT: The Property and Environment Research Center (PERC) announces the creation of the Enviropreneur of the Year Award. The award will be given annually to the individual or team that best demonstrates environmental entrepreneurship.

Since 2001, PERC’s Enviropreneur Institute has empowered environmental entrepreneurs in the application of property, contracts, and markets to enhance environmental assets.

Under the leadership of Neal Doyle, 2007 alumnus and head of operations at the Harvard Innovation Lab, PERC is revamping the Enviropreneur Institute to prioritize innovation and accelerate entrepreneurial ventures with a conservation focus.

The winner of the award will be selected from participants in the 2015 Enviropreneur Institute. The first place individual or team will receive $15,000 to help launch their company. The second place prize is $5,000.

Applications are now open for PERC’s 2015 Enviropreneur Institute, which begins July 7 in Bozeman, Montana. For more information and to apply to the Enviropreneur Institute, visit perc.org/enviropreneurs

Application deadline: April 10th
