Honoring Doug North

This week at PERC, we give thanks for the insightful scholarship of Doug North.

North's contributions to the discipline of economics were recognized by the Nobel Committee in 1993, and his impact on PERC is immeasurable. As an economic historian, he gave us the framework of New Institutional Economics. As a teacher, he mentored Terry Anderson, the William A. Dunn Distinguished Senior Fellow and former President and Executive Director of PERC

Thank you, Professor North, for providing clarity on how the rules of the game shape human interaction.
